What is a Freedom of Information request?
The Freedom of Information Act allows anyone in the UK to ask public authorities, such as universities, for any information they hold. The institution is normally required to respond to every valid request within 20 working days. Learn more
Do I need to use my real name?
It is considered a good practice for the institution to respond to requests made under a pseudonym. However, such requests are technically invalid and may be refused. Learn more
